Hospice/Euthanasia

Danner Veterinary Hospital offers hospice and euthanasia services to pet owners in South Tulsa, Jenks, Bixby, and the surrounding communities. Having a terminally ill pet is never easy. When all treatment options have been exhausted, our goal at Danner Veterinary Hospital is to provide hospice care that focuses on improving the quality of life, making the patient comfortable and pain free while giving the family time with their beloved pet before saying goodbye.

Dr. Danner helps animals experience terminal illness and the dying process with dignity. While it is never easy to say goodbye to your faithful companion, we do everything we can to make the process of euthanasia as peaceful as can be.

When you bring your animal in for euthanasia services, we give you time with your pet, explain the procedure and what you can expect to happen so that you are prepared. We have hand-chosen medications that we administer through an IV catheter. This procedure is painless and induces pets to drift off into a peaceful and permanent sleep.

Afterwards, we have two services available to make provisions for your pet’s remains in a compassionate and respectful manner. We offer a common cremation and burial, or we help you preserve the memory of your steadfast friend and return your pet’s remains to you in an urn with plaque. You can also choose to have a cast made of your pet’s pawprint as a memorial keepsake. Please ask about this service if you are interested.

Before you struggle through one more day with a sick, elderly, or terminally ill pet that is suffering, call us at Danner Veterinary Hospital to learn how we can help you through this difficult time. Upon request, and only in special circumstances, Dr. Danner will make house calls for these services by appointment.
